In the first year of the partnership, McMurry improved the financial performance of Amtrak’s on-board magazine Arrive by $1 million thanks to an effective product repositioning, a smarter business model and operational efficiencies unique to the country’s leading custom publisher.

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company
Among the grandest hotels in the world, The Ritz-Carlton hotels and resorts are renowned for indulgent luxury, sumptuous surroundings, legendary service, and thanks to a partnership with McMurry, one of the most successful custom publishing programs. The Ritz-Carlton Magazine is distributed quarterly, versioned for 57 properties worldwide and attracts prestigous advertisers such as Louis Vuitton, Mercedes and Tiffany & Co.

USAA
USAA is a Fortune 200 financial services company with more than $81 billion in owned and managed assets and offices throughout the United States and Europe. It turned to McMurry in 2004, after a number of years with another custom publisher, as part of its ongoing initiative to find innovative partners that can boost business results among its 5+ million loyal members.

6/22/2004 – 24 Hour Fitness
24 Hour Fitness
24 Hour Fitness, the world’s largest privately owned and operated fitness center chain with more than 300 locations in 16 states, turned to McMurry in 2000 to bring its employee magazine Fuel up to new brand standards. Since then the relationship has evolved into a multi-publication partnership that includes a subscription-based magazine 24 and Axis, an ad-supported magazine aimed at improving employee retention among the nomadic personal trainer professional.

Russian Highway Heritage Foundation
McMurry is the global agency of record for this overseas account that is a tourism and economic development initiative connecting Moscow and St. Petersburg that conceptually follows in the footsteps of The American Scenic Byways program which includes Route 66, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the George Washington Parkway and the 17-Mile Drive. The Russian Heritage Highway is considered one of the most culturally significant historic highways in the world.

University of Phoenix
In 2004, McMurry and University of Phoenix celebrated their 10th year of publishing Future together. Throughout the partnership, University of Phoenix has grown into a wildly successful, publicly-traded company and the largest university in the United States. Future has featured cover stories as varied as Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Mick Jagger and Carly Fiorina and is an award-winning marketing tool.

6/4/2004 – High Altitude Sports Training Complex
High Altitude Sports Training Complex
The High Altitude Sports Training Complex at Northern Arizona University trains elite athletes from around the world and is an official U.S. Olympic Training Facility. McMurry serves as a marketing consultant and has been instrumental in the operational development and positioning of HASTC since 2000.

6/22/2004 – MADD
MADD
MADD (Mother’s Against Drunk Driving), one of the largest crime victims organizations in the world, left another custom publisher when McMurry showed the non-profit how to improve quality and reduce costs. After successfully publishing Driven, MADD’s member magazine, McMurry was also selected to acquire responsibility for publishing MADD’s activist title, Maddvocate.

GlaxoSmithKline
GlaxoSmithKline, the second largest pharmaceutical company in the world, publishes high-circulation, versioned compliance newsletters with McMurry to encourage proper usage of its products and to protect its leadership position in nutritional and fiber supplement markets.
